Royal Run time at Whitsun! 🏃‍♀️

For us, Whit Monday no longer just means a public holiday – above all, it means Royal Run time! 🏃‍♀️

This year, sixteen of our runners travelled to Middelfart, where King Frederik also took part in the 5-kilometre race. Together with friends, their children or their partners, our TR team members lined up at the starting line for the various distances in perfect running weather. It’s not about who crosses the finish line first, but about sharing the experience and enjoying a great day together. 🙌🏼

The Royal Run takes place every year simultaneously in five Danish cities. In addition to Middelfart, participants also ran in Ringkøbing, Randers, Helsingør and Copenhagen. A total of 112,450 participants registered for this year’s event.

What began in 2018 to celebrate the 50th birthday of the then Crown Prince and now King, with the aim of encouraging people to be more physically active, has since developed into a very special Danish tradition. Year after year, the Royal Run inspires people of all ages to get moving. The fact that the Danish Royal Family also takes part and runs alongside all the other participants perfectly reflects the spirit behind the event.

It is exactly this unique atmosphere that makes the Royal Run so special for us every single year. Everywhere you look, you meet cheerful people, spectators enthusiastically cheer along the route, and you can truly feel how much joy this event brings to both the participants and the audience.

For us, the Royal Run has become an integral part of Whit Monday. One thing is already certain: next year we will definitely be back – for the sixth time. 😊😊
